At the very end, I have included a video of my two oldest boys when they were very young. My reasoning behind this was to share a moment in time that I was furious at my boys and very embarrassed by their unacceptable behavior!!! But...as I have grown to realize that children are not perfect...they will not always behave...they will fight, cry, wrestle, and disobey...and you know what??? It's okay! My children are very sweet, respectful young boys who have done very well so far and I am so grateful that I kept this video!!! On days when I think that it can't get any worse...I look at this video and it reminds me of the precious innocence of children and how much joy every child can find out of life...even when it can embarrass the parent! LOL :) I truly hope that you find this video as funny as I do! (Though it was not funny to me at the time!)
Some of my favorite quotes that I have found on parenting, teaching, and children:
“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” ~Ignacio Estrada
“Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand.” ~Chinese Proverbs quotes
“Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.” ~Dr. Haim Ginott
“I’ve come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It’s my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or de-humanized.” ~Dr. Haim Ginott
“Before I got married I had six theories about bringing up children; now I have six children, and no theories” ~John Wilmot
“Your children need your presence more than your presents.” ~Jesse Jackson
“Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.” ~Roger Lewin

AND NOW FOR THE VIDEO.......drum roll please.................
I thought the video of your boys was too cute. Children have a way of having fun regardless of the situation, place, or parental expectations.
