I currently stay at home, but I just started substituting at my children's school the other day (just to stay in the profession). I have always worked in early education so stepping into the elementary school and working with a 4th grade class scared me to death!!! lol....anyways the class was great and my day went especially smooth, but it was at the end of the day that this young boy touched my heart. He said,
"Mrs. Rand...are you going to come back and be our substitute teacher again?" I told him that I would love to and I hoped so. He said, "You are my favorite sub. You were funny and fun to have in the classroom...and I'm not just telling you that because you are here today. I don't say that to all the subs...I just tell them that I like them...but you are the only one that I said you are my 'favorite'." This tickled me because this young boy was so sweet and genuine and completely made my day!!! I hope everyone has an ending to their work day as I had that day!
